Madrona School exists for the education of gifted, neurodiverse and 2e students. We know that each student’s gifts are different, and we celebrate the unique qualities of our students to prepare them for the world we share.
EVERY MIND MATTERS

At Madrona, our low student-to-educator ratio allows us to support project-based and independent learning in a highly personalized way, giving educators the flexibility to meet each student where they are and encourage deeper engagement.
We recognize that many bright, gifted and neurodiverse learners show advanced abilities in some areas while needing support in others, and our approach is designed to meet these asynchronous learning needs through individualized support.
A formal gifted designation is not required for admission, and submitting an inquiry is simply the start of a conversation with our team.

MADRONA LEARNER PROFILES
At Madrona, we know that each student's gifts are different, and while students are advanced in some areas they may need support in others. Our expertise is in educating gifted and neurodiverse students in a non-traditional way.
Neurodiverse
Learners
Students who learn differently and benefit from flexible, supportive, individualized approaches.
Gifted
Learners
Students who demonstrate advanced abilities and thrive with enriched, challenging learning opportunities.
Twice-Exceptional (2e) Learners
Students who are both gifted and have learning differences, requiring balanced, personalized support.

Our youngest students learn in small, multi-age groups that allow for individualized support and pacing. The program blends the BC Curriculum with social-emotional learning, language development, and hands-on exploration.
Students in Grades 4–8 learn through personalized instruction and flexible groupings that allow them to progress at their own pace. The program blends the BC Curriculum with real-world problem solving, executive functioning skills, and experiential learning.
Students also develop executive functioning, leadership, and community awareness through service learning and preparation for the transition to high school.
