About the Event
Participate in a Zoom workshop, number 1 of 3, with Kelly Smith, MSW, RSW
In this session, Big Brains, Big Feelings
Bright children often think years ahead of their emotional regulation skills. In this session, we’ll explore the neurobiology of strong emotions, stress responses, and why logic fails when the nervous system is overwhelmed. We will: Break down what’s happening in the brain during meltdowns and shutdowns. Explore co-regulation as applied neuroscience. Learn practical somatic tools to de-escalate big feelings (yours and theirs)
