Madrona’s learning community

and Educational approach for

K-Grade 8 students

Madrona Open House Bright Minds

Madrona School exists for the education of gifted, neurodiverse and 2e students. We know that each student’s gifts are different, and we celebrate the unique qualities of our students to prepare them for the world we share.

At Madrona, our advantage is our low student-to-educator ratio, which allows us to focus on project-based and independent learning. The team at Madrona acknowledges that many gifted students are advanced in some areas but need support in other areas. Our teaching approach allows us to intentionally address and personalize the asynchronous pathways of each of our students.

Madrona grade 4 to 6

Students in Grades 4–8 learn through personalized instruction and flexible groupings that allow them to progress at their own pace. The program blends the BC Curriculum with real-world problem solving, executive functioning skills, and experiential learning.

Students also develop executive functioning, leadership, and community awareness through service learning and preparation for the transition to high school.
