Junie Brayley has been an educator for over 35 years. She has extensive experience teaching at both the elementary and secondary level in BC’s public and independent schools. She has also taught at Langara College and the University of British Columbia. Junie has a master’s degree in Educational Psychology and Special Education and has presented at conferences in Asia, Europe and throughout North America. Until June 2016, she  was head of Learning Support at one of Vancouver’s top-ranked independent schools, where her job was to ensure that students received necessary and appropriate learning supports, such as extra help with specific subjects or tasks, ESL services, enrichment, etc. She has been an active member of BC CAISE (formerly BC CASE, BC Council of Administrators of Special Education) since 2004, and sits on the board of the BC Council for Exceptional Children. 

In July 2016, she joined Fairview Educational Consulting Ltd. as one of its founding partners. As an educational consultant, Junie has been providing guidance and support to numerous schools with a focus on IEP planning, mentoring of Resource personnel, and providing workshops to teachers.

Junie will be providing support at Madrona 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for the 2021-2022 school year.
