Safety

We do everything possible to ensure your child's safety while he or she is in our care.

  • All teachers engage in safe practices, especially in recess and physical education periods.
  • We will not tolerate bullying, hazing, and verbal, emotional or physical abuse. To forestall anything of this nature is better than dealing with it after the fact, however wisely we might manage that.
  • We work to build an atmosphere of mutual confidence, trust, and respect among all alike - adults and children.
  • We guide students in ways to behave appropriately in groups.
  • We encourage them to watch out for signs of alienation in others and to intervene in a positive and natural way.
  • We discourage any sort of exclusion practiced by students.
  • Conflict occurs in any environment and teachers are often wise not to intervene, if they feel that both parties have the maturity and self-confidence to deal with social ups and downs. The ability to resolve conflicts takes time, maturity, and guidance to develop. If there is an obvious situation of inequality between the parties in a dispute, then teachers will intervene swiftly to mitigate the problem.
